First and foremost, supplements are meant to be just that – supplemental to your diet and exercise routine. There’s no magic pill or drink that is going to get you to where you want to be without consistent proper diet and exercise. There are a million different supplements out there, so I get that it can be a lot to try to take in and understand. So let’s talk supplements for a second – basic recommendations, what I take, etc.

    Protein

    I used to think whey protein is whey protein is whey protein. It’s easy to just go with the cheapest option and call it a day. Well there’s a reason the cheap options are cheap… The ingredients are cheap and they are processed at a high temperature in an effort to make more protein powder at a quicker rate. Both of whey protein supplements below are LOW-temperature processed. This is important because due to the way it is processed, your body is able to absorb the most amount protein per gram, it blends very easily, it doesn’t have that chalky/nasty after taste, it doesn’t upset your stomach and make you bloat, etc. 

    Phormula-1

    Phormula-1 is a hydrolized whey protein isolate. This means that your body will be able to digest and absorb Phormula-1 very quickly. Phormula-1 is perfect for post-workout because of the rapid absorption as well as the thinner consistency. I don’t know about you, but a really thick protein shake after a tough HIIT workout is the last thing I want to drink. Phormula-1 is paired perfectly with Ignition. 

    Ignition is a rapid absorbing carb supplement that replenishes your body’s glycogen stores that you just depleted during your workout.     level-1

    Level-1 is a sustained assimilation whey protein. This means your body will digest this protein similar to how it would digest whole food.     While Level-1 is great just mixed in water, some of my favorite ways to incorporate more protein in my diet with Level-1 by adding it to:
